If you plan to volunteer at Olentangy Meadows you must attend a training session before beginning volunteer work. The VIP training session is combined with the committee chair training and the room parent training this year. If you are unable to make one of these training sessions, please contact Kristi Vance @ vance_kristi@yahoo.com.

Staff Appreciation Week – going on this week.
Monday, May 10th – Room Parents have decorated the classroom doors to show our appreciation and they look great!
Tuesday, May 11th – Staff will enjoy a pasta lunch with dessert provided by OMPTO.
Wednesday, May 12th – Each staff member will receive a gift from OMPTO and judging of door decorations will take place.
Thursday, May 13th – Girl Scouts will provide breakfast to our staff. Also, the winning classroom for door decorating will get an ice cream party (unless M/W Kind which would take place on Friday).
Friday, May 14th – Gift certificate drawings will take place throughout the day as giveaways to the staff from OMPTO.
School Supplies (2010 / 2011 school year)- DUE THIS FRIDAY
Each pre-ordered kit is $26.75 (includes shipping/handling) and will be delivered directly to your child’s classroom. Orders are due by May 14th. Visit our OMES website at www.omes.olentangypto.org to download an order form.
Enrichment Day- (grades 1-5) - This Friday
PTO Meeting – Next meeting will be May, 20th at 6:30pm We will have Officer Elections / a cookout so please join us.

Taranto’s Pizzeria has teamed up with Olentangy Meadows Elementary for the easiest fundraiser ever!
Wednesday, May 19th is OMES Pizza Day. Order from Taranto’s Pizzeria, mention you are an “OMES Parent”, and Taranto’s Pizzeria will donate 15% of the total order back to the school! The PTO has designated these funds to help with 5th Grade Field Day, so all you 5th grade parents be sure and order pizza to help with Field Day. The 5th grade band has a concert on this night so it is a perfect way to feed the family. This event is not only for 5th graders, but the entire OMES family and we really need your help. This benefit includes all orders on the 19th so order lunch for your office or dinner for the family and OMES will receive the 15% proceeds.
